Fresh Life Radio shuffles a blend of excellent Bible teachers such as Chuck Smith, Greg Laurie and Skip Heitzig. Along with live services with Levi Lusko from Fresh Life Church in Kalispell. Fresh Life Radio also features killer Christian music from artists such as Chris Tomlin to Switchfoot to Blindside, and maybe a few you have never heard of.
To see people who are stranded in sin find life and liberty in Jesus Christ
Fresh Life Radio isn't your typical Christian radio station. If you listen, it's pretty doubtful that you're only going to hear the songs that are topping the charts of the Christian Music Industry. Absolutely, you will hear popular artists like Chris Tomlin and The David Crowder* Band, but chances are that you're also going to hear a plethora of songs by bands you've never heard of before.
I like to think of Fresh Life Radio being it's own person. As the day starts out it's just going to want to enjoy a good dose of Bible learning, scripture teaching, Jesus time mixed with modern worship. As the day progresses, the radio starts getting into the groove of things. By mid-afternoon the radio is going to be in the mood for music that is a little bit more exciting with a little bit more kick to it. It'll start to play more alternative rock music while still holding on to a good dose of worship. By the time the sun starts going down, Fresh Life Radio will be enjoying rock anthems accompanied by groundbreaking indie bands that you've probably never even heard of. We don't even know how we hear of it other than by the grace of God.
Fresh Life Radio is killer teachings, alternative rock, groundbreaking indie, and modern worship.
We get that question often. The answer is so simple. It seems like it's the obvious answer. Fresh Life Radio plays artists who are Christians.
The real question we ask when deciding whether or not to play a band is, "Do their hearts belong to Jesus?" There are a lot of extremely talented bands out there who aren't a part of the Christian Music Industry but the members love Jesus. There are a lot of bands that don't want to be limited in what they play, so they go stick with the indie label and play from their heart. We have a knack for finding a lot of these bands, so we play them. You see, even Christian artists are real people. What I mean by that is that they go through the same things many of us go through. Sure they have times of rejoicing, but they also have trials, and struggles, mountain highs and valley lows. That's what we play.
It's really nice to be able hear songs where fellow brothers and sisters are experiencing the same things that we are. So, yes, we will play their songs about relationships, and yes, we will play their songs about their every day life. Why? Well, because their music comes from a Christian world view. They are Christians who are going through life, singing about what they are experiencing. Each song is infused by the saving power of Jesus Christ because each artist has been infused by the saving power of Jesus Christ.
I love to mention a quote by C.S. Lewis when talking about why we choose the artists that we do. You see, the great Christian philosopher once said, "We do not need more people writing Christian books; what we need is more Christians writing good books." We feel the same way about music. We want to promote all Christians, not just the ones writing Christian songs. We want to encourage Christians and non-Christians alike by playing music that is relatable and done well.
Now, don't get us wrong, there is absolutely a place for the contemporary Christian music stations, but that is not what Fresh Life Radio is. Fresh Life Radio is a blend of Killer teachings, modern worship, groundbreaking indie, and alternative rock. We play music we like and we hope you like it too.
